The coat tells you everything. No two African wild dogs share the same markings — every blotch of rust, black, and gold is unique, a fingerprint worn on the outside. I wanted to document that individuality before it disappears entirely.
Fewer than 7,000 painted dogs remain in the wild. Habitat fragmentation has fractured their packs across a shrinking range — what was once nearly 40 countries is now scattered strongholds in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Zambia. They aren't disappearing because they're weak. They're one of Africa's most effective predators. They're disappearing because their world keeps getting smaller.
Last Light catches one in that threshold moment — alert, watching, holding ground. The warm dissolving background isn't decoration. It's the pressure of a world closing in.

Once your order has shipped, tracking information will be emailed to the email address provided in your order.
Art is shipped in the following manner:
- Paper Prints: 11x14 paper prints and smaller are mailed inside cardboard stay-flat envelopes. Prints larger than 11x14 are rolled and mailed inside mailing tubes to prevent damage.
- Stretched Canvas: Shipped in a protective plastic layer, and sealed in a corrugated box.
- Framed Prints and Canvases: Wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed carefully with protection on corners. Sealed in a corrugated box.
